The government should carry out its duties and enact the proper policies that the people create in Congress. It should serve America as a public, not connected powerful clubs. The political parties as a system create a network of clientelism and patronage that prevent public services from effectively functioning fairly.

As President I will press for nonpartisan reform that diminishes the costly job of enriching and empowering political parties. I will not spend my time running for re-election and campaigning for my party allies, because I will only serve one term and won't have a party.
