I commit to serving only one term as President of the United States. If I don't make positive contributions to you in four years, then I shouldn't have another four. If I do, then I should leave it to another President to build on those positive contributions. Nobody in the government should be critical to its functioning. An effective President should cultivate and empower others to be prepared to serve in the President's absence, incapacitation or end of term. I plan to work hard to find effective people with integrity who are capable of serving the United States, and working to prepare others to serve this country after my term is over.
